this was a fun day trip on an old train - it was quite warm and the train moves pretty slowly, so it's good to bring a hat :) there is a bar with snacks on sale in the train but it was just typical cuban sandwiches when we were there so not a lot of variety. there doesn't seem... More

It's an attraction that lots of people would do it, there is a lace market there. You walked up to the top and have a view of the place. It's interesting.

Wonderful place that we visited by horse thanks to our host in casa font. Worth the money, nice place with a bath in a natural swimming pool, where we unfortunately not alone but this was still fine

We hired a scooter from Havanatur in Trinidad $25cuc for the day and rode two up out here. Great breezy trip at our own pace. Stopped first at the Mirador for great valley pics at no fee, didn't feel compelled to climb the bustling, rickety tower for essentially the same view. This place is bustling, private taxis and tour buses... More

This place with the tower offers an amazing lookout point and photo opportunity. The ladders in the tower are a bit steep - be carefull

Beautiful place. Very Picturesque. However, beware some of the Cuban stall holders who seem to think its OK to grab some of your possessions and plead for them for their 'bambinos' !! Awesome view from top of tower from where they used to control slaves, however, its steep. Try the raw sugar cane juice. (Pre fermented Rum)! Wear flat, comfortable... More

Seat your self by the shade side of the train, bring your own big bottle of water and a sandwich or power bar you will need it. Bring a little money for the best bananas in town and change for the bathroom usage. Put on your solar cream and seat down. The Iznaga tower is a good work out. But... More

I enjoyed the trip as I had hired a taxi from Trinidad as I wanted to explore the area a bit. Otherwise there is a tourist train. On the way, I stopped at the Mirador with a great view onto the valley. The market at the bottom of the tower sells pretty hand embroideries at very reasonable prices.

This was a nice trip - we took a taxi from Trinidad and had the plantation tour, then came here. We had drinks at the bar, which were very good. It is hard to get too excited about the view (Mountains and Valley), when we come from British Columbia, and have our own spectacular mountains and valleys.
