I have been always mesmerised by this part of the US, as I watched cowboy movies from the other side of the planet as a child, no wonder that I asked my partner to stop briefly here each occasion as we went to Vegas coming...More

We recently spent a couple of weeks in Palm Springs. We needed any excuse to experience the solitude and beauty of the desert. This is truly one of the most spectacular drives in the world. We got up early, drove to Vegas, a bit of...More

Mohave honestly feels like a different planet. We drove from Joshua tree through the desert to Las Vegas in the afternoon and commented constantly about the beauty of this place. You could spend days here if you were a photographer and never get the same...More

I enjoyed the scenery. There are mountains, rock formations, unique vegetation, and interesting trails to hike. Just note that the only visitor center in the park site, Kelso Depot, is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I was not happy about this.

Loved the campground at Hole in the Rock, surrounded by desert flowers it was one of the most picturesque places we have camped, with the colours of the landscape changing constantly over sunset. The ring trail is one of the great hikes, short but fascinating....More

We are not hikers, but we enjoyed the Mojave Preserve by car and many many stops. I was really surprised by the fact that it does not look like what I expected this desert to look like. It was full of mountains, shrubs, blooming flowers...More
