Anyone who has this on their bucket list must go! The scenery is unbelievable. Straight out of a movie. The town itself was delightful, beautiful little shops and a great brewery for lunch. Such a great day out - we hired a car from Sacramento and did a day trip.

This is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. I liked driving a whole circle around the lake and stopping to take pictures. In some places you are right along the water. In others you are up high looking down. The lake is so clear. Spring is a nice time to go with the melting snow... More

You can't appreciate Lake Tahoe until you have seen it in four seasons. Incredible is a good word. Camping, fishing, boating, skiing, grilling and hiking are but a few of the activities available.

You arrive to the lake and you get to the whole different place, it looks like Canada's little town with wooden houses deep in the forest, a lot of trees and huge lake. I loved the atmosphere in this area, I would love to come back, because we spent there only one day. We went in second half of September... More

My husband and I went to Reno for a week (December 2016) to celebrate our anniversary and took a day trip to Lake Tahoe. The views from every angle are GORGEOUS ... mountains and trees everywhere and snow capped mountains in December. I would not have missed it for the world.

We went to Lake Tahoe for our fiftieth wedding anniversary a couple of years ago. Beautiful clear lake and water. Went to a few casinos, there are some beautiful drives in this area, lots of good restaurants too.

We live nearby and whether it's a family outing or a group of hikers etc., this area has so much to offer alongside beautiful scenery. Every season is full of great things you can do. Since winter is coming up, try snowshoe tours or skiing...summers are popular with picnics, mountain biking and hiking and of course soaking up the sun!

It was a really beautiful place and really worth visiting. Saw almost all of its periphery right from north to east to southern tip, each area is unique in its own way. The waters are different shades of blue, reminded me of Pangong Lake at Leh.
