This beach is very close to Bowman's Beach. Bowman's is on Sanibel Island and Turners Beach is on Captiva. Didn't expect such a nice beach since I didn't see it on any of my maps. Spent hours here, bending over collecting seashells with a number...More

Great beach day which included a beautiful beach, great shelling, and any amazing SUNSET!! Wasnt too busy as there is a small paid parking lot. Bathrooms are available in the lot. Also had a bonus of dolphins swimming out about 50yds off shore.

This beach is beautiful and clean. Great opportunity to view the awesome sunsets that are mesmerizing! The shelling is best at low tide. Pair the two together and what a fun way to end the day.

This is a community beach open to the public. There is no fee for the park but parking a car does have a fee. The minimum is one hour for $4. Be aware that the lot is very small and parking is difficult. There are...More

The only downside to this area is finding parking, due to the small lot. We drove around Captiva and had lunch after not finding a spot. When we came back, we got right in. Parking is $4/hr, just like anywhere on Sanibel. The water is...More

We spent 2 days at this particular beach and didn't leave empty handed or even close. My husband collected over 100 conch shells in a few hours. The beach wasn't crowded at all and the sunset view was amazing! Shelling will only improve as they...More

Turner Beach is a paid beach on the Captiva side of the island. We paid only for an hour ($4) and it was PLENTY of time to sea shell hunt in the hot sunshine with a four year old! Of course, my mother and I...More

I checked all beaches on Sanibel and Captiva and my opinion is that Turner's is the best location to take picture of the sunset in May. Parking is limited so you need to get there before the crowd.

This is a must see. I always stop when I vacation in Florida. There is nothing like it anywhere. Small parking lot so you do not have a large crowd. It feels like it is your own private beach area. There is nothing else like...More

We went back twice to this beach during our vacation. Hated the parking, but loved the beach, shelling, and my kids loved the fishing! We were vacation in Cape Coral and I would recommend a week day not weekend for less traffic and parking. The...More
