Super cool place and an unexpected gem. Wish the trails were marked better and be map was more clear. We got lost for a bit but other hikers led us back.

My first trip to the caves! Some caves, lots of trails - but definitely worth it. Don't need to be an expert spelunker or anything - just need to be ready for some adventure. Dancehall Cave is tiny bit of Indiana Jones .... in Iowa!!

For us city folks, we were transported to a wonderland within minutes of entering the forest. Wished I had brought cheaper shoes though. Good, free "nature therapy" for our kids (ages 7-14).

FREE way to spend your day plus very fascinating and a way to get exercise. There are 13 caves at this park. Family enjoyed hiking through caves. Our kids thanked us many times for taking them there as they had so much fun exploring!

This was a wonderful day trip. The caves are really neat. There is a lot of walking and it can be wet, slippery and dark. There were many people that came with lights. The trails are poorly marked and they should charge a fee for...More
