Just returned from a river cruise aboard the American Queen Steamboat from New Orleans to Memphis. Beautifully restored boat with period furniture in staterooms and public rooms. This is a leisurely cruise, casual dress and good food. The ports are small with emphasis on Civil...More

While the cruise itself was very nice, dealing with this company to retrieve over charges is a nightmare, so think twice before putting down a deposit. We booked a future trip while on a New Orleans Round Trip Cruise Dec 2014 - Jan 2015. The...More

I had been on four river cruises in Europe and was very impressed by each one. On this American Cruise Line, from St. Louis to St. Paul, on the Mississippi. I paid a lot more money for a week than I did in Europe. I...More

W had been looking forward to this 9-day cruise down the Mississippi River for quite some time and had booked one of the more expensive staterooms. However, we were very disappointed, not in the boat itself, which is quite amazing, but the staff and excursions....More

We first traveled with American Queen Steamboat Co. back in 2017. That cruise from Memphis to Nashville was a replacement for our original booking on the Duchess, which was not finished to sail in time. Then our replacement cruise was fraught with delays because of...More

During my trip saw the rive both in Memphis and New Orleans, first time was in Memphis where i was struck by its size , so i thought it would be bigger (wider) in New Orleans but i guess the delta deals with that. Amazing...More

Have not been on a river cruise like other reviewers but have driven up and down the Mississippi many times and it has never failed to impress. Just standing on the riverbank fills you full of awe - a very special river.

Over the decades I've seen sections of the Mississippi River from end to end while motoring on the River Road, cruising on the American Queen and stopping to take photos from dozens of overlooks. For my money, the Twin Cities views of the Mississippi River...More

We have traveled extensively, both river and ocean cruising and found that this cruise would rate well below anything else we have taken. There were a lot of other "non - Americans" who were, like us, very disappointed as well. The food quality, the service...More

We took the American Queen from Memphis to Louisville. The stateroom and bathroom were larger than most other cruise lines we've experienced, but the food was mediocre, and the service was definitely not up to snuff. Some examples: (1) Promised free wifi was almost nonexistent,...More

No movement at all but if you have cruised in Europe you will be disappointed with the service and food standards on the American Queen groups " Duchess" boat.
