Firstly let me say that I am not a Horsey person. This area is well worth the trip , even if not I the local area, I strongly recommend the guided trip (book through Wild Mustang centre in Lovell) also consider overnighting in the 'Bunk House' also available from Wild Mustang centre. The drive up/down is 'interesting' a very good... More

We did not do a tour. We stopped in the little building and got a map of the area and the extremely helpful couple working circled places on the map where the horses had most recently been seen. They also offered some information about the herds. We drove out very hopeful. We looked and looked, got out hiked and looked... More

The two-hour jeep trip up the mountain was an adventure and well worth it. We spent several hours with the wild mustang herd. A picnic lunch was included in the tour, and our group of vegetarians was very well fed. There was some walking involved to get close to the horses. We also explored a small cave near the pasture.... I went on a February day when the sun was out. It was a bit cool but I didn't see another person for over 4 hours. I saw horses within 30 minutes of going into the park. There were a lot of interesting things to read along the way, great facts. Really enjoyed driving all the awy to Barry'a Landing... More

Because I paint horses, I chose to take the day tour with Steve and Nancy Cerroni in July 2014. They were delightful hosts and Nancy prepared a nice lunch that we ate on top of the mountain. I could never imagine driving this road even if I had the right vehicle. It is very rough but with Steve driving I... More

We looked forward to seeing WILD HORSES. What we got was paying the government a fee to drive up a very poorly marked dirt road. It ran into the Crow Nation but again as it was poorly marked, not sure when... We had been told the staff could let us know where the horses had been recently spotted. The very... More

This was the highlight of our day, and possibly of the entire vacation. The lady (hostess) at the visitor center was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She gave us a great introduction to the mustang range and terrific directions, including to a marvelous little cafe in Lovell, the Brandin' Iron. Then, the car tour of the range was magnificent. Even though... More

My two gal-pals and I toured the range through the Mustang Center in Lovell, WY with Steve as our guide. It is a rough Jeep trip up the 5000 ft. climb to the top of the range, but so well-worth it. We spent the afternoon in awe of these beautiful bands of horses, including 3 new foals. The biggest honor... More
