How can you not at least once in your lifetime come to the top of New England's tallest peak and home of the world's worst weather?! I did it driving, but there are many ways to the top including the Cog Railway and, if you...More

This was my second trip to Mt. Washington. The first time we hiked to the top. It is a good hike, but the crowds make it a bit less appealing as you are often waiting for folks. This time we took our car to the...More

We drove up to the top of Mount Washington via the Auto Road. I’m someone who hates rollercoasters & anything that’s scary. BUT this was amazing, the journey up is narrated via a CD that you are given when you purchase your pass. The views...More

Whether you hike, take the train or drive the auto road this is well worth the experience. Interesting visitor center and museum on top. Did not expect the 10 degree windchill, ice and flakes of snow on last day of September. 70 degrees on top...More

There is a weather station at the top where the highest wind speed ever recorded happened and it can snow any month of the year. You can hike, drive up, or take the amazing cog railroad to the top. The views are wonderful and often...More

The staff doesn’t seem familiar with the hotel. If you ask what time the pool opens or when coffee is available you get a different answer from different front desk people. We had a terrible room although the hotel was not full and we could...More

This is a very expensive train ride to the top of the mountain. I didn't find the view 'spectacular' as described, rather boring as nothing much to see with the engine in the front. The narration was not relevant and boring. The CD we received...More

Hiked up, despite being lots of altitude, compared to other peaks in the Whites it wasn't a bad hike (this does not mean anyone should do it, please read up and be prepared, as due to weather this can be a treacherous hike). Was socked...More

Spectacular hike and amazing views even with the masses of people. You can drive it as well and take the train. The walk is the best.

I don't have any info on tours outside of Boston. Driving is a great way to see the foliage. The roads are wide and weren't busy when we went apart from a bank holiday weekend. Personally, would recommend driving.
