Flat almost all the way to the top, then you’ll hit a steeeep incline for a bit, stick it out! It’s the final stretch before the top. Great little cabin about 3/4 the way up to stop at for the bathroom or a snack :)

Nice wide trail and mostly flat. Few sections early with roots and the like and the last 1/10 of a mile is steep stairs but for the White Mountains this is an easy trail and muffins and lemonade for a couple bucks await you at...More

Recently hiked the trail with our Husky and young son. Parking is $5 and by 8:30AM on a Saturday the lot was full so there is a lot of foot traffic. Nice trail and only the last 1/4 mile or so is a staircase. Our...More

This is a gorgeous hike, really picturesque in so many places. My husband and I brought our dog and made it to the hut in about an hour and forty minutes, and we're kind of average-paced, experienced hikers. The trail is well-maintained and you never...More

We thoroughly enjoy the entire Appalachian Mountain Club trail hut experience. Each Hut is unique in its own way but to Kathleen & I the Zealand Hut and Falls area is the cream of the crop. A very gradual, highly scenic and well maintained 2.8...More

We hiked this trail during a recent visit the white mountains. The drive to the trailhead is pretty itself. Be prepared though because the road is eventually unpaved. There is also a day use $3 fee. You can pay at the trailhead. The lot is...More

This is one of the easiest AMC hikes in the White Mountains. It's about 3 miles in and the last tenth of a mile is quite steep but worth completion. It's an easy 6 mile round trip or you can choose to make a reservation...More
