We had reservations at Myrtle Beach for my Daughter's Fall Break from school but Hurricane Matthew decided to visit before we did and we had to make alternate plans. We decided to head North and visit Ohio's Amish Country. It was beautiful and we had a blast. My daughter's friends and classmates were all so interested in her week and... More

This was the first time I had been anywhere like this and it was beautiful! We went around and looked through all the different stores and shops they had and furniture stores. It's handmade things and the craftsmanship is fantastic. We ate at one of the restaurants nearby and it was quite lovely. I would definitely recommend if you're just... More

We had a lovely day out in Amish Country with family and friends. The area is visually stunning with rolling hills, horse drawn buggies, small towns with great stores, food and activities to enjoy. We were staying in Cleveland (from Australia) and it was an easy and scenic drive there and back. Would thoroughly recommend.

I have been to Shipshewana, Amish country in Indiana, and thought it was lovely, but I have to admit that Ohio Amish country is even more appealing. The landscape here has more, and larger, rolling hills, less commercialism than Shipshewana, and more peacefulness, or at least it seems so. Unlike Shipshewana, some of the Amish actually waved hello to us... More

We stayed in this area for several days while on a fall road trip with friends. I could have taken a picture at every rolling turn of their roads. Just beautiful. There were so many shops in Berlin and so many people that it became too much. The other towns were more peaceful. Sugar Creek and Walnut Creek were less... More

Been to Amish country more times than I can count...and will go back again. Love to drive around from town to town. Beautiful countryside with more buggies than you ''ll ever see anywhere. Country stores and amish wares are everywhere. Heidi's Cheese is a must as well as a trip to downtown Berlin. Harvesters is also a great little place... More

Traveled from Columbus Ohio to Amish Country Berlin. The first shop we visted was Sols, its not what I had expected, a basic store. It was a gaint gift super store, the people were unfriendly and didn't make eye contact. Our next stop was Toyers, again a big grocery store. I asked an assistant where the Amish historical museum was,... More

We have been to Ohio Amish Country many times over many years. From the Cleveland area it is a nice day trip that feels like it's a world away. The scenery is beautiful rolling hillsides. We have gone in each of the 4 seasons and they each have their own highlights. The only times to hesitate about going is during... More

Ohio Amish country is very spread out. In order to see everything, without aimlessly wondering about, you need to do a little research before arriving and have a plan. We started out visiting Sugar Creek. This is a very small community and we found there was really only a few things to visit here. The coo coo clock is the... More
