The beach is covered with water, at high tide, but at low tide, it is a great place to walk and tide pool. Highly recommended.

Just happened to be driving by Sunset Bay State Park at sunset - mind blown at the beauty! Pictures barely capture how incredible and special it was. Tide pools were fun (I even ate some fresh seaweed). Oregon State Parks are THE BEST!

There are three state parks a short distance apart that may be accessed a short drive from Coos Bay off US 101 with the first being Sunset Bay. We stopped for the view of the sandy beach and sea cliffs.

This is a very nice campground. It's on a dead end road so you don't get much traffic. Very close to the ocean and the view from the beach is fantastic. Faces west so great sunsets. Good place for kids to play as it's pretty...More

I just called the main number for this park as I had questions about my stay and Mary Sue W. couldn't have been more helpful. I am taking a teardrop trailer and was concerned about placing it on my reserved "tent site" but Mary Sue...More

This appeared to be an older campground. It's very pretty and only accessible after a long 12 or so mile drive off Highway 101,, but loops A and D (only ones open last month) are very different. So beware if you're booking through Reservations America....More
