This is a gorgeous route. Do not miss it. The road is excellent. You feel as though you are driving through the Grand Canyon and you are right next to the Colorado River with huge cliff walls going up on either side of the rive.

Very scenic byway in Utah. Lots to see on the left AND the right. Worth seeing the scenery by the way.

My grown children and I detoured a bit to enjoy this drive rather than going directly south into Moab from Interstate 70. Thank goodness we did! It provided two of our favorite experiences in Utah, unforgettable moments that we'll always share. One was stopping at...More

An interesting drive that is a little away from the general attractions of the area. There are so many attractions in this area that this drive falls somewhat in the shadows comparatively. A great look at the Colorado River.

When heading to Moab (or Arches, Canyonlands etc) from the east on I-70, CO Hwy 128 is a shorter route in MILES than US Hwy 191 via Crescent Junction. It's not quite 50 miles from the dead town of Cisco to Moab. But you will...More

I drove this road on a motorcycle from Moab to the Cisco abandoned village. Minutes from there you have stunning views of the canyon, with beautiful red walls and rock formations following the curvy river Colorado along the way. This road is mentioned in the...More

We drove Hwy 128 once with our 32' 5th wheel & it was fine. UNLESS you're only used to interstate driving, in which case this road might seem a bit daunting. If possible, take it on a weekday; weekends get especially crazy... More

Hi, I agree with the person above. It is a windy road. Not sure I would want to take some of the turns if there was snow. BUT, it is so worth the drive.
