We stayed at Brian Head resort and ventured out from there for a few days during their off season. The scenery was spectacular! Highly recommended! Great hikes!

I was in Brian Head in March to ski and we were able to get to the first overlook into Cedar Breaks. It was super cold and super beautiful. Worth the short trek off the road. I have been on this road in all seasons....More

Utah State Route 143, also known as Patchwork Parkway Scenic Byway, winds through the Dixie National Forest for 50 miles between the historical towns of Parowan and Panguitch. Beginning at an elevation of about 6000' at Parowan, the byway climbs eastward through Parowan Canyon to...More

We chose to take this scenic route from Bryce Canyon to Cedar City. It is a really nice drive with fantastic scenery varying from mountains and canyons to lakes and open countryside. A really nice alternative route and doesn't take much longer.

We took this road about 20 miles to find it closed, but anyway got to enjoy the beautiful lake and scenery. We saw a lot of deer grazing along the road. Very cool!

We used this particular byway several times while we drove from Cedar Breaks to Zion and Bryce and along Highway 12. It was beautiful and provided lots of opportunities for pictures - plus sharing the road with a few animals from the local herds.

We decided to take the northern way to get from Bryce Canyon to Zion National park and it was worth the extra time. The scenery was amazing. Groups of the deciduous trees were beginning to change color and the site was a vivid palate of...More

We started in Panguitch and I have to say that the first 2/3's of the journey wasn't anything worth spending time on if you've ever lived or toured the upper portion of the US. Lots of trees and rolling hills but really nothing worth the...More
