The refreshing thing about Lake Champlain – well, apart from the gorgeous, Adirondack-flanked lake itself – is its lack of bustle and over-development. There’s lots to do, like hike, golf, camp and take boat cruises, but the beauty is, how easy it is to not do anything.

Lake Champlain or as Canadians say, Lac Champlain is a between USA and Canada. The villages around the lake are very coastal looking and a great setting for a family get away or a romantic stay. While there search the lake for the sea creature that has been sighted there when enjoying your meal at the many lakeside eaterys. This is... More

We drove across the Champlain islands on a frosty winter day. Beautiful quaint villages surrounded by nature and countless inlets of the lake. Some areas were frozen solid and we saw lot's of locals ice fishing. Very picturesque!

This is a beautiful lake but you need to be sure to watch the expected winds and weather. This lake can change very fast. I have kayaked along the shore, fun... as a recreational kayaker, it feels like you are on the atlantic!

Took a 30 minute ferry crossing from the Vermont side to New York State. Quite pleasant. It is only a car ferry so no frills.

We drove from bennigton to burlington, on out way we could see the beautiful long lake. When we arrived to burlington, after a visit in church street we went to see the champlain lake, and it was amazing, we took a boat tour and it was just great.

This 1 1/2 hour tour on the lake was very informative and pleasant. The tour was narrated and provided details on the history of the area. Waiters on the top floor were foreign students and very attentive and helpful. Scenery was beautiful, even though we got a bit of rain mid-way through the tour. Would certainly recommend this tour if... More

I took my three small kids here to swim at the beach. They loved it!! We are used to big waves at the ocean and it was so nice that the lake was calm. It was a hot day so the cool water felt really nice. The lake was a lot of fun.

The Ethan Allen 1 1/2 hour tour was delightful. The tour was narrated, there is more history regarding Lake Champlain than I realized. There were only about 50 people on the boat -- so there was plenty of space for everyone. We did not go on one of the lunch or dinner cruises so I can not rate the food... More
