Heading down to Seattle from Vancouver this is a must

We like cars and driving back roads. A work colleague of my son in law, who is into good driving roads, recommended Chuckanut Drive. What a beautifully scenic route. The views... read more

We like cars and driving back roads. A work colleague of my son in law, who is into good driving roads, recommended Chuckanut Drive. What a beautifully scenic route. The views through the trees out into the inlets were stunning. A visually amazing area. Highly recommended

Lovely 21 mile drive from I-5 to Bellingham on narrow two lane road with wonderful scenic vistas at various pullouts. Bring a camera! Great restaurants and State Park along the way to visit.

Fall colors were not quite out when we did this drive last week and it was a rainy day. We noted a number of interesting hiking trails we could do as we drove this route and would do it again taking the time to do a little hike. We stopped for lunch at Chuckanut Manor and I can't say enough... More

Finally got around to doing Chuckanut drive on my motorcycle. This road is highly touted but the drive is way to short (about 20 miles) with very limited viewpoints and pullouts. Nice curves for a motorcycle but be warned it is a narrow two lane road. Be very careful of rubbernecking, that can be quite dangerous. So if your in... More

The views, cliffs, and watching the sunset was amazing. There were a lot of scenic pullouts but even just driving it was beautiful with new views around every corner. We were a bit to early for the fall leaves so plan to come back as have heard it is even more beautiful then. There also were some interesting looking restaurants... More

Drove in early afternoon...loved the excursion. The views, cliffs, and watching the sail boarders was all amazing. Definitely recommend. Must stop at Taylor Shellfish for their fresh fish. Awesome!

We have heard about this scenic drive for years. My wife and I decided to take this route south out of Bellingham instead of heading back to I-5. The narrow, winding road was a pleasure to drive and it provided views of the water and different islands. We stopped at a couple of pull out spots including one that had... More

Took this lovely drive along the coast on our way to Seattle area and it is a great choice for a lovely meandering drive if you don't want to do the I-5. Trees, ocean, views - check - just wish there were a few more spots to pull off to take pics and really enjoy the view.

We were returning back to Seatas after having spent time in the north Cascades and Tofino so we probably did not enjoy this scenic drive as much as most. It is an easy drive from Seattle or Vancouver with access from I-5. We went there on a Monday afternoon when there were very few people on the drive so parking... More

I biked the Seattle to Vancouver event and cycled up the Chuckanut Dr on the way to Bellingham. The view was great during the few times I looked up from the pavement. I decided to drive the same route on my way back to see how it really looks. It's very scenic. Gorgeous view. It's also not a long detour... More
