Drive, hike or bike...but go to see the incredible views. It is definitely worth it! Construction was going on to remodel bathrooms when we were there taking up some of the parking.

The tower isn't much to see, but the view from the top is awesome. You can see Mount Rainier and Vancouver, Canada from the top. This is the highest Point in the San Juan Islands at 2904 feet

This is definitely worth the trip up. Pretty easy winding drive to the top and you're rewarded by panoramic views extending far, far away. Must-do if you're staying or visiting the island.

We didn't have time for hikes but enjoyed the scenery at the very top. The observation tower is being renovated, though. There are a few picnic tables and Porta Porties.

Pack a picnic and drive to the top of Orcas Island to enjoy 360 views of the surrounding area. A few picnic tables are scattered around the viewpoint and tower.

From Friday Harbor you need to take the ferry to Orcas Island - apx 13 $, the inter-island I believe it's free. When you get to Orcas, you can hitchhike, yes it is legal and safe..I did it all summer
