Beautiful view of reflecting pool.

A very moving monument fitting of Lincoln's contribution to the nation. Do not miss it. Spend a little time with the 16th president.

The views from outside this amazing building are just a prelude to what awaits when you climb the stairs and stand in awe of President Lincoln. A great tribute to a great man. Turn and face the reflecting pool and the Washington Monument. Capital splendor for all to behold.

It gets crowded but this is one of the things you go to DC to see. Somehow even in the crowds it is still a reflective place.

I've been to the LM several times over the last 50 years and until this trip always found it a solemn and stirring experience. There is nothing better than walking through the park and seeing the memorial rising up in front of you. It's great to visit it and the view across the park and water from the top of the steps looking out over DC is stunning.

Don't miss the Lincoln Memorial. Beautiful tribute to President Lincoln. Take your time and read the speeches on the walls.
