Great, train like rocky to outrun the school trips!

Pictures do not do it justice! I also love the verrrrrry tiny bookshop in the corner. Spend some time meditating on the monument and the details.

Everything I hoped it would be. If you ever find yourself in the DC area, do not hesitate to visit this landmark.

You will be able to see Lincoln Memorial any time that you are at the Mall. However its beauty is on a completely different level at night.

It is a beautiful place, very moving place. You can get some great pictures from the top of the stairs.

I've always loved Lincoln, and make sure to spend a few hours in his presence each time I go to D.C. There is something truly magical about this monument. I've seen it during the day and at night. Both are amazing. Knowing that so much of our history has happened here and in the surrounding area just adds to the... More

This is obviously a must see when in the DC metro area, however many people only visit this during the day and to me it is even more impressive at night with the lights and looking down the reflecting pool at the Capitol and Washington monument. If you have the chance to see DC at night you will be treated... More

You need to visit the main Memorials in the evening, if at all possible. You are able to avoid most of the work/daily car traffic(and only have to contend with the tour buses, which really arent a problem); the best time, all of the lights, very somber & serene

Unfortunately, there is a ton of people here just sitting on the steps. If you plan on taking pictures of it without people in your picture, forget it, even at night at 9pm there were people there.
