Much more majestic than one realizes. A must see and a great start point for key places to see. We took Uber from our hotel to the memorial and started our day from there. It’s A logical step to move on to the Korean War...More
My son was part of a high school band playing for the Parade of heros the Saturday before veterans day. Such a big honor. Its amazing durning day but breath taking at night. Must see for sure both by day and by night.
The grounds were very well kept. Even with the large amounts of visitors (including school groups and tour busses) the Information Center employees were very polite and helpful. Breathtaking monument when you see it in person.

You got to spend at least 20 minutes at c each monument to absorb it. You should be able to cover all 4 monuments in 2 hours. I am including the walk time too and assuming that you will start at Vietnam memorial. Please do visit the world War memorial too which is on the way only. Once you are at Washington Monument you can really pace up to walk towards Capitol. You can add another 20 minutes for the white house if you want to start from there.
