It's a beautiful wall. It was the mementos, the pictures, the notes and letters that people leave the base of the wall that did me in. It brings the personal touch to the memorial.

A simple tribute to the Vietnam Vets but very moving. There were guides there to explain the design of the wall and assist you in finding particular names if needed. Touching that people had left notes along the wall to relatives and loved ones. Easy access and can be visited with ease.

This was my second time visiting the wall. It was the first time my wife had seen it in person. It is a powerful reminder of the 50,000 + troops that died in Vietnam. Many were friends. It causes you to think about lost buddies and comrades.

The names written on this memorial are a stark reminder of how many lost their lives in service to our country during the Vietnam War. This was my second visit and it is as emotional the first time as it is the second. On my first visit I was accompanied by my mom who knew two people killed in the... More

If you remember "Nam" at all, you will want to see this. Take all the time you need. The WW2 wasn't bad either?

A touching memorial to all those who lost their lives. This is a very somber tribute. Walking from one end to the other doesn't take long but soaking the whole experience is well worth the time.

This is a beautiful memorial in DC. The wall is absolutely breaktaking. What makes this memorial special is what visitors leave there. A letter from a child to his grandfather had me in tears.

Nice to see this tribute that was long overdue for the troops that fought in Viet Nam. We listened to the guide who was there explaining the layout of the memorial and that was very interesting. Very nice setting to take some time to reflect on the sacrifices that were made in that conflict. Many veterans visiting the memorial getting... More

A must see while visiting DC. As we walked the path next to the wall it was completely silent. We walked past an elderly woman on her hands & knees to have an impression of her family members name, that is when the tears started to flow.
