A Must visit. My significant other and I were in art heaven - so much so we ended up spending two days at this place. And best part: it's free. This museum has a wonderful, large collection (from statues, to paintings, sketches, antique furniture, etc). Most of the day we spent as much as we could in the larger building... More

This is a big investment of time and well worth it. There are two galleries. You might want to split it into two days. It's well worth it for adults.

I have been to this museum many times and it never disappoints me! I recently visited the NGA during a visit for the Trump Inauguration this month. Even with all the millions of people in DC at that time, the Museum handled it perfectly. Also, they have the best gift shop ever!!

I visited the gallery at the first time in 13 years. It was so nice at this time. There are splendid arts, and feel comfortable space.

I found myself becoming overloaded halfway through the second floor and I am a grown woman with a lot of energy. There is just so much to take in that trying to do it all in a few hours seems like gorging a meal. Recommend one floor a day or do one in am then have lunch and come back... More

National Gallery is one of the best art museums I went. I've been to the Art Institute in Chicago, but I think this one is better. You can spend your whole day inside and enjoy the art and culture. Btw, there are two buildings; don't miss one.

this is one of the premiere art galleries in the world. A must see in DC. I love that there aren't normally that many people and you can admire the paintings calmly, without being pushed around like in NYLon.

Always an interesting place to spend a few hours. There's too much to see in one visit- narrow it down before you go. Free concerts in the garden room on Sunday evenings.

Went with my son at his request and was amazed that I never entered the doors during st least 20 prior visits to the Smithsonian. It is a beautiful piece or art, itself.
