We were on a tight schedule, but made time to squeez in the National Gallery. I wish we could have spent a lot more time here, but unfortunately my small taste of it will have to do until my return.

What a wonderful art gallery - and so many masterpieces that one can study closely and contemplate. We spent 2 hours on Dutch and Flemish artists including Rembrandt paintings. We last saw these same paintings in an expensive London exhibition which was so crowded we...More

First visit. Very broad collection, from impressionist to byzantine. Some excellent Rembrandt portraits. The Degas sculptures were beautiful. Everyone raves about the da Vinci, but we are a bit spoilt in Europe. But look around and there are many interesting works, including in the American...More

They have a great deal of oil paintings in various areas such as nature, portrait, landscape, religion related. It is worth to spend a couple of hours there.

In the museum you can see many, beautiful and famous masterpieces of Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Turner... I was amazed. The museum is huge and not overcrowded, I could spend there a whole day. Fantastic!

21st January 2018. Not easy to see Vermeers in the US, so well worth a special trip to visit this exhibition!

I visited midday on a weekday, and there was no line. Though busy, it was not crowded.
