The most awesome experience to watch the 4th of July fireworks surrounded my the monuments. Very well organized even with all the people and security. Returned the next day to enjoy each of the monuments and memorials.

We did the mall firstly by city bus tour and then section on foot. It's a vast area and a great city centre open space

One of my favorite sites in DC. It's a perfect way to walk to and among the museums. Definitely recommend spring when everything is in bloom!

There is so much to do in this city but bring a fat wallet. The National Mall is a lot longer than I thought it would be. It gives you some great picture spots. Wear comfortable shoes.

The mall is wondrous and beautiful. It's power packed with history, museums and monuments. But be prepared. Theses are long walks. "Things may be further than they appear" is the warning label. Wear good and comfortable shoes, carry water and give yourself plenty of time!...More
