This is an adventure for all that visit. It is both historical and exciting at the same time. The exhibits are so interesting and show the wonders of our air and space technology. Anyone of any age will enjoy their visit and come out of the museum chatting about what they viewed. It is a must to see and enjoy.

We spent a few hours at the National Air and Space Museum. It was a very pleasant experience for the entire family. We took in an IMAX show, which was very good. The gift shop is massive and features cool things like freeze-dried astronaut food. My nine year old daughter seemed to enjoy our time there. And the best part-... More

My boys, currently aged 8 and 9 thoroughly enjoyed this museum. So much so, that in the last 3 years, we have come three times. It and the Botanical Gardens are the "must see" places we go when we are in town.

If you love planes or space research look no further. This museum does a wonderful job showcasing both military and commercial aircraft throughout history. You can track the advancements from the first flight to the current advancements. There are several eye opening exhibits such as the one highlighting old flight attendant requirements. The space travel section is neat as well.... More

Between the original Wright Brothers 1903 Flyer and the Spirit of St. Louis Ryan Aircraft and some even beyond there is no other place on earth with similar artifacts. Space stil excites young people so going back to airplanes is a wonderful experience for visitors.

Besides all the cool airplanes, you have the history of aviation, space exploration and more. Best museum I've ever been to.

Need more than a day to visit. There are 2 museums - the big one is the Udvar Hazy one in Chantilly where they have the space Shuttle, the Concorde and many other big planes. You can also see the airstrip of the Dulles airport from the control tower mockup. A place well worth seeing!

I spent almost two days here. The number of exhibits is overwhelming, as is the IMAX - wow! wow! wow! There is also a HUGE McDonalds on site. As one might imagine this Museum is very popular with families, so if crowds of children are an issue for the visitor, then some though needs to be given to their visiting... More
