Stopped in last Saturday to grab some beers to go.
Grabbed the Heart of Glass, their Hefe and the Cucumber Kolsch.
The Heart of Glass is delicious. The Hefe is a solid choice and the Kolsch is "unique".i
Heart of Glass is crisp and finishes clean, the Kolsch is a bit too much cuke for me.
Staff: friendly
Parking: open lot
Food: Food truck
Beers: good.
Would recommend: Yes
Would re-patronize: Yes

My wife and I have a tradition of visiting breweries wherever we go. I’ve been to 50 states and she’s been to 35. This one stood out to us because it was the first time the bartender (who was scheduled on nights the day or two before Halloween) had a genuine conversation. He was really excited that we came to visit them just for the beer and we love that.

Well, the only, but there are plenty in the neighborhood. Anyway, Hellbender has a low key, casual tasting room where they serve not just their main line beers, but whatever they're cooking up next. Taps rotate frequently, and there's always something special. Make sure to take a tour (3 and 5 on Saturdays I think?), and ask your bartender what's new.

Long time friend of the owner/founder- and yet an objective review- owner takes time to personally perfect each craft he puts out- over 10 years ago I tasted the beginnings of what is now a great tasting beer- keep up the great work, Ben !

Came here as part of a brewery tour and I can see why the tour guides picked this place. The decore is rather rustic, but the craft beer is excellent. Lots of different brews to choose from. They were having a trivia night while we were there so was a bit busy. They have wifi.

The beer flavors really weren't my favorite. That were clearly well crafted beers, but the flavors weren't to my liking. They all had some front of the tongue flavor that I personally do not like. I drank three samplers of a varity of pale ales and enjoyed them is n a general sense, but the farm house was undrinkable. It was more like a sour. I think these guys need to visit Seattle. They clearly have talent now they need refinement
Good looking beers. Nice bubbles

This brewery is a bit far from the tourist attractions but I would definitely recommend a stop in! The beer is great and there are board games to play!

Nice European and American styled ales served in a tasting room with large wooden tables, just right for a large group or for playing board games. The brewery is named after an endangered salamander that is local to the Appalachian rivers. Friendly beertenders can help navigate the beer selections to suit your tastes. Going here is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon or evening.
