Canel was under construction so was not much of anything to see. There are a number of small shops in the area.

The Georgetown Emporium is a local speciality shop in a quaint townhouse located east of 27th St. on P St., N.W., in Georgetown, that offers a tasteful array of collectibles, home accessories, small furniture items, children's clothes, vintage fashions, and gift items for extra-reasonable prices. The shop would be emptied in a day in New York City--it is that good!... More

What a fun thing to do on a holiday week end. The houses are all starting to get themselves decorated for the holidays. Each townhouse in the area is unique. The hustle and bustle keeps your energy for the season at a all time high!

It was nice to stroll around the old world splendor of this neighbourhood. A nice mix... More

This is a mainly walking district. A lot of stores like Abercrombie etc. but not a "starbucks place". An lot of urban coffee shops and dining places. Quiet and feels separate from the city.

The area is packed with many mid-range shops. It is enjoyable walking along the streets even if you don't plan to buy anything. In contrast to the museum, you feel a different side of Washington DC. Nearby is the Georgetown University, within walking distance, which has a beautiful campus.

Love the architecture mostly. Great shops and restaurants, a great walking street. Parking is a little tough, but same all over DC.
