We received a Travel Zoo email with special rate offer this coming June; when we had called to book 4 nights, we spoke with Cassandra (on Sunday 4/26/15). She said the deals offered in this promotion were initially available, except for one night. Upon further conversation, the dates suddenly were under black out dates. We could stay for the first... We couldn't walk anymore as we were so tired so we had our uber driver take us along the route and he pointed out different embassies.

Start walking from Dupont Circle up Massachusetts Ave and enjoy the sights. The fact that many of these buildings are embassies is interesting, but the architecture is the real star. Take a slow walk and enjoy. TIP: For a break, drink or restroom stop, drop by Starbucks on the North side of Dupont Circle.

A Once in a Lifetime Opportunity! Our son's high school's Wind Symphony (he's a Percussionist) has been invited to play at the Army's Presidential Cup on April 10th - which also happens to be his 17th birthday! The cost of the trip for him stretched our budget thin, but it was worth it for this once in a lifetime opportunity.... More

As we were heading to the National Cathedral, we took the road called; Embassy Row. There you will have the chance to see some of the most unusual embassies with some unique architecture as well as bright colored flags. Every Embassy as a unique flair about them and this is also a very charming place to stroll by!

The Embassy Row hotel is a nice hotel with quiet rooms in the heart of DC. The personnel is very friendly, it is a home away from home. It's even better now it is just renovated. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars around Dupont Circle and the metro around the corner.

You have to walk a looooooong way!!! No metro stops, only bus stops. Yeah you get to see embassies and old buildings, but wasn't that interesting. The Islamic Centre was interesting to see.

We started to walk from Dupont Circle to Washington Cathedral on a sunday. It is a 2.5 mile walk. We walked 1.5 miles and hailed a cab. It was easy to get a cab. The morning walk was beautiful and I'm so glad we did it this way. We ran across a farmers market right of the Circle and wandered... More

I had some business to take care of along Massachusetts Avenue on December 5, 2014. Exiting at the Dupont Circle Metro Station, I took the wrong turn and ended up walking along the Embassy Row. There are embassy buildings on both sides of the Avenue and I could not resist taking pictures of the beautiful statues and plaques I saw... More

My husband and I love to walk, so we set out from the White House and worked our way over to Embassy Row. As you stroll by foot, you can stop and look at the buildings, and read any notations that are posted. Some of the buildings are beautiful, others quite plain, but regardless, it's an enjoyable walk and we... More
