Great spot for fresh provisions, and the wait for a great breakfast at Market Lunch was well worth it!

Walked the market with our dog; interesting food, crafts, and items for sale. A great way to get fresh air, spend time outside and explore a new D.C. neighborhood.

The eastern market is a great place to purchase organic fruit, vegetables, and meat. Everything is freshly picked and raised. This is the goto place if your looking for grass fed beef, chicken, pork, or lamb. There are also several merchants selling homemade oils and soap. Around the corner there are awesome food carts. I recommend the burrito spot and the fresh... More

Although a welcomed respite from neighborhood walking the Eastern Market was "off" season so it was mainly a corner meat & produce grocer, nothing special. The building was better to look at from the outside and unless you're in the neighborhood there's nothing here you can't get at many other places. We did purchase some freshly baked pastries for the... More

We went to the Eastern Market twice on our stay. There was an adequate amount of vendors for us to purchase a full dinner menu. The prices are very fair and the products VERY fresh. We went on a rainy Saturday and noticeably only a few vendors showed up outside. The vendors outside the market are more of the entrepreneurs... More

We stumbled onto this location while en route to another part of the city. What a lovely and relaxing time we had. The place we tried to get to was closed but we didn't really mind. It was really a fun time strolling down the street browsing at the vendors wares. We bought a new hat for me (photo) and... More

This place is awesome and has a good selection of foods. My breakfast was very good. The only reason I gave it four stars, and it really isn't their fault, is the limited parking in the area. Of course, parking in Washington, DC is difficult even on the best days, so keep that in mind when you visit. Transit is... More

Always enjoy a good local market, and it was nice to walk through DC on route. It was however a little small.

I went here a few days ago and return today because one oyster sandwich. But the staff of the place (is the only with this kind of food) are horrible. The business man is stupid, probably doesn't like foreigner because I was very polite but I cannot say the same about him, who was scream with a bad face when... More
