Chinatown in the Nation's capitol is small compared to other large cities. However, there is a good selection of restaurants with menus from modest to pricey. We did not notice any Chinese art, souvenirs, Chinese clothing, etc for sale. The archway itself welcomes all visitors. The archway has been has been well maintained and the colors remain strong and clear.,

Once a year, you can enjoy the Chinatown New Year Festival in DC. It is small, but you can be sure you will see everything from the sidewalk. There is parade, dancers in costumes, big firework, music, local Chinese Restaurants. Enjoy it once.

Besides the arch and one Chinese restaurant, there's nothing Chinese about the area. Restaurants and stores are all regular American joints. Not even any Chinese people! I've never been to a Chinatown that was so basically non-existent. Very strange.

It looks like all the other Chinatown archways in the world. The area appears much dirtier and dingy than other Chinatown's in the world.

No different to any other friendship archway in other Chinatown's around the world but still impressive. This particular Chinatown is ok, not a patch on the one in San Francisco.

It is similar to other Chinatown Archway's I've seen, but still interesting to look at, especially considering you're in a very cool Chinatown to view it from! Great spot to take photos.

To be honest, I really do not find this archway that much different from the ones I've seen in New York City and Chicago. Each of these arches, however, serves as a beautiful welcome point to Chinatown.

Pretty cool but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. Interesting area to walk through and grab something to eat.

It's not something I would tell someone to go see while visiting DC but we stayed close by and walked past it a few nights while going to dinner. It is a happening area and the arch is pretty and interesting.

Walk under the archway and enter the Chinatown restaurant experience. They are everywhere and we enjoyed several.
