His quotes are the best part for me......many of his most important statements that many people, I am sure, were unaware of or had forgotten. It is a must-see, and for thoughtful people, it will be very inspiring.

The MLK Jr. Memorial was powerful and inspiring. His quotes along the wall are awesome and really are wisdom. The entire message of the Memorial is cool with the mountain cutout. I would definitely visit again as this Memorial is a beacon for change!

This was truly a wonderful place to be with members of your family. Our Family Reunion was kicked off by going to Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Words cannot explain it. All must visit when in DC.

This memorial is near the Roosevelt memorial and has a massive stone statue of MLK in the middle along with famous sayings through the memorial. This site does have restroom and is stroller assailable.

I was a bit disappointed in this Memorial. It's a must see. Just a short walk from FDR. Just felt they could've, should've done a little more.

This was an impressive statue and a very quiet place for reflection. I visited near sunset so enjoyed the play of colors off the Tidal Pool, which is right in front of the statue. This exhibit was limited with quotes on the walls leading up...More

While the actual features on the status of Martin Luther King bring mixed views, there is no question that this is a powerful memorial as one reads each and everyone of the quotes from MLK. A must see.

Great quotes from a brave man....not to be missed. My favorite: "I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits".
