This memorial is truly very beautiful. And though the structure itself is admirable, the people here make the experience! So much passion among the visitors for such a legacy. Very moving, and elegantly done.

The memorial sculptures of huge granite blocks are extremely impressive and the inscriptions on the inscription wall are quotes from various speeches given by Dr. King show his abiding faith that peace and love are stronger than war and hate. This is a must-see memorial.

It is a Hop on Hop off stop on the BigBus tour. Being there, reading all of Dr. Kings wonderful quotes was a thought provoking experience.

The quotations reminded me how eloquent MLK was, beyond his I Have a Dream speech. I got a great cherry blossom scarf at the gift shop. The monument was easy to get to on the Circulator bus.
