If you are really into decorative arts, especially porcelain, then this will be your happy place. It's also interesting to see learn about the lady of the house. If that's not your cup of tea, there's a lot to do in DC.

This stunning property is tucked away in a residential neighborhood off Tilden St between Rock Creek Park and Connecticut Ave. NW. This was our first visit and we will definitely return! The Four Seasons exhibit was the reason for our visit and it did not disappoint. The sculptures were awesome and the short film played inside the visitors center (be... More

What a great experience! Raisa was so helpful and kind. The orchids were so beautiful and the Art Deco Japan exhibit was so cool. Now I want to go to Japan! Our tour guide for the mansion was so knowledgeable. Great morning out!

You should take a break like we did and enjoy a relaxing and mellow afternoon at Hillwood. We spent a lot of time sitting at the back of the house facing the Lunar Lawn, just listening to the trees shake with the wind and watching the leaves fall. Loved the "Art Deco Japan" exhibit that was exhibited at the Dacha... More

Few know of this place, thus not crowded and one can choose to visit on your own or take the tour. Garden tour about an hour house a bit longer, but depends on the guide. Small group, about 4 and done by volunteers. A love, genteel place highlighting an era of elegance.

Hidden gem in DC. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept. The museum is overflowing with artifacts from all over the world. The temporary exhibition "Deco Japan" is fascinating, although limited in size. Ideal for a relaxing afternoon. There is a suggested admission fee. I paid $10 as a students.

Visited in the Fall on a sunny weekday. The mansion is gorgeous, and if you love fine porcelain, the collection is incredible. Gardens and grounds are immaculate and a must. Brought my parents who really enjoyed it. The fact that is has parking and tickets were reasonably priced made it even better. They offer free guided tours at certain times... More

This was the home of Marjorie Maryweather Post. Her taste was magnificent as reflected in the elegant furnishings, table ware and especially an outstanding collection of Faberge eggs. The gardens are.lovely in any season. There are constant special exhibits. And, an outstanding gift shop.
