We set out early on a brisk Saturday morning, two days before the 2013 Inauguration, and the Mall in DC was buzzing with workers setting up barricades, media sites, porta-potties, and more. After a quick lesson on how to operate the amazingly intuitive Segway, we tooled off across the street, over a few (!) bumps caused by the media's power... More

After looking at and talking to several Segway Tours we went with Smithsonian due to availability. I cannot think any way to make it better. Our guide, Lee, was outstanding in so many ways. He was personable while caring for every single member of our family group of 8. He trained us by paying attention to each of our abilities... More

We had an amazing tour that began right at dusk for my young adult sons, their parents and three uncles. We toured the monuments as both lights and Christmas decorations came on. It was beautiful. The team was ready when we arrived. After an efficient but thorough training session, we took off on our 2 1/2 hour tour. Lee was... More

As first time users, my wife and I (both in our 50s) had no trouble learning to use the Segways. We did the tour on our first day in Washington and the 3-hour tour of The Mall was a great introduction to the many famous sites. It helped us choose what we wanted to visit in detail for the rest... My 16 year old daughter took the Segway tour through the Smithsonian, and we both loved it. We had Segway-ed before, in Prague, and had a blast, so we thought we'd tour Washington on two wheels. We took the three hour tour, which turned into four hours. Very nice! Our tour guide, Lee, was terrific. He loved answering questions, was... More

Good value for the tour, unfortunately for us the weather had a cold wind chill factor, tour guide included an additional stop to enable us to warm up a bit. Prior to the start of the tour we had a lesson, all of our family found them easy to use. I highly recommend booking the morning tour to help you... More

This was an excellent tour. I live and work in DC, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My friend and I took the tour, and Rick was our guide. He was awesome by giving lots of information about the Mall, monuments etc, in a pleasant and funny way. We saw all of the sites on the Mall. The best part on... More

We took the 3 hour tour with Lee as our tour guide. He was seriously knowledgable - seriously Lee knew more trivia and facts than a Jeopardy contestant and is a genuinely nice person!! We saw the mall, memorials, sculptures, Smithsonian buildings, MLK memorial, White House, Capitol Building, Hotels (the W where the drinks are &16.00 EACH but has a... More

We did this tour one blustery December day and let me tell you, it was perfect for seeing the entire national mall quickly and easily. Take it from someone who spent her first trip to the National Mall frozen and hungry and at least a mile from the nearest warm building. The mall is huge. It's history is varied and... More
