Came to the monument as part of a run along the mall. Lovely architectural design. Let your mind wander into the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in WW2. A PITY that there is little information at the spot. So had to turn to Google...

This is a nice memorial and tribute to those that fought in WWII. It doesn't not give you the same feel that some of the other memorials have, not sure why. Some photo ops.

Such an amazingly beautiful memorial. It is perhaps the most beautiful memorial that we had a chance to visit.

It what seems to be series of never ending memorials on the Mall, this one, between the Lincoln and Washington Memorials, is an outstanding and fitting tribute to the Greatest Generation. It is grand and pays proper tribute to those who served.

This is a cool place , has the states divided by the Atlantic and Pacific. Walking around the circle is beauty if you look up at all the columns. At the 2 points they have a big round medal. Take time to read.

To see each state listed and the detail in the bronze ripe that runs along is just wow. This has so much detail that it is breathtaking and makes you cry. The views are awesome as can see Washington monument and Lincoln memorial and this area by the reflecting pool is just beautiful. Great place to get exercise and walk... More

The wreaths in stone for each state were moving. One person was upset they couldn't fins memorial for Washington, DC veterans. We helped them find it. Plus vets from the protectorates and virgin islands were recognized. Huge with large pools and fountains.
