The National City Christian Church is a Protestant denomination church, and this review is not about the religion practice but about the historic landmark in Washington D.C. area. This great grand building is located close to other historic churches and buildings in historic Logan Circle. It was designed by the same architect who designed the Jefferson Memorial and National Archive.... More

After checking into the Kimpton Donovan and seeing this beautiful grand church in the circle, I had to get there. Just so happen, I learned of the Friday concert series. It was awesome! I had never experienced the pipe organ before and the music was delightful. Give it a try on a Friday from 12:15-1:00 (check the website) or Sunday... More

You would never guess the interest in this church but first you'll have to find the way in! This is on the east side along the sidewalk. It's best to find out for yourself rather than me telling you but part of it is Presidential. We had a fascinating personal tour.

14th Street is now the place to go it seems in DC. And right where the more lively side of the street starts there sits this church in the huge Thomas circle. They have a lot of services and do a great job at helping the community.

This church is quite grand and lovely from the architecture on the outside, and they seem to be an active part of the community. There were people exercising as a group outside this morning! It's also situated nicely at a large circle, too, so it's an easy landmark to spot!

We stopped by there last week while heading to the National Cathedral. This place is very peaceful and very beautiful. It is nothing like the Cathedral, but is is very quaint and well designed.

The church's architecture is beyond beautiful; it is a masterpiece. JT M noted in his review two famous other works by John Russell Pope, the architect: The Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives. Besides those there are also in Washington The Brazilian Embassy Residence on Massachusetts Avenue, the Temple of the Scottish Rite on 16th Street and Pope's all time... More

This church was designed by the same architect who designed the Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives. Beautiful architecture and stained glass. This is one of my favorite churches in DC.
