    Good place tobwatch live sports
As someone who likes basketball but lives in Canada, I don't often get the chance to watch NBA games live, given that my home is not in Toronto. So when I recently was in Washington I decided to catch a Wizards game. Though this is not the best sports arena I have been to, the experience was a lot of fun and I would certainly come back the next time I am in town.

Wonderful Arena to watch a NHL game
I really enjoyed my experience. Firstly the Arena is connected to the Washington Metro so it was a breeze to get both too AND from the game. The Arena is well organised and it was easy to get to my seat. Once in my seat (behind one of the goals) on the 400 level the view was clear and unobstructed. I didn’t have a problem at any point during the game. The food selections were very up market. The days of beer, hotdogs and pretzels are well behind us. I had a very good brisket sandwich and a soda. There were many other excellent options. Unfortunately cost wise the meal was far too expensive. I need to clarify that point in thatI personally complain about that issue every time I got to a sporting event. It’s possible that it’s my expectations are out of whack with society - I will the reader to decide. On a more practical level the men’s bathrooms were large and basically clean.

    NO BAGS ALLOWED
Why do they have zero information about the size of bags allowed when you buy tickets? They have agents at each door with a laminated sign that shows the allowed size (3x7”, I believe) , they have a set of lockers with a fancy app that you need to use data to download..a complete scam. In general the stadium has plenty of staff at every corner and tons of food and drink choices. Just very pricey. No wonder it’s a billion dollar industry.

I would rate this as a top arena
Went to see the New York Rangers play the Caps, fans were actually quite respectful and knowledgeable about the game. I felt there was enough security and the staff were friendly, competent and very helpful. One of the nicer places to see an Away game.

Pink Concert Washington DC August 2023
Nationals Park venue for Pinks concert sucked, horrible venue for a concert. It rained which was annoying. Pink’s performance was no less than fantastic. She clearly is a very talented singer, performer and loving mother. She had her beautiful daughter on stage singing with her which was fun. Her acrobatics is amazing. She never gave up performing even when rain was pouring down. She comes across as kind, happy and friendly to her staff and fans. This was one of the best concerts I’ve been to. If you get a chance, see her perform. It’s worth every penny.

SUITE REVIEW ONLY. My friends and I came here recently for the “My 00s Playlist Tour” concert—my friend rented out a Lexus Level Suite—it was AMAZING!!! The suites are located on the 3rd level—you have your own private suite with private bathroom, coat closet, fridge and high-top tables and chairs, in addition to the leather seats. They come with 18 tickets! You can order catered food which we did—fried chicken, wings, hot dogs, chips, crab dip, fruits/cheese/meats and cupcakes. You can order liquor bottles, sodas, juices, water, seltzers, etc. too!

The view of the stage is a bit far being on the 3rd level, and the suite rental is pricey, but with a group this may be worth getting.

We sat in section 211, Row E, seats 7-9. The seats themselves were very comfortable to sit in along with decent legroom and a good view. They also have a good policy to give free refills on souvenir cups, (not sure if they’ve done that all year though).
Where the experience goes sour is the fact we had 4 younger guppies in front of us who had snuck in either an e-cig or vape pens and were actually sneaking puffs and smoking them! I reported. It to the security staff nearby and all they did was come over and warn them not to do it again. This was a serious mishandling of the situation as this entire group should have been thrown out! Any other group with younger kids that are non smokers would likely agree here. Because even though they stopped this time, what’s to stop them at future games? Horrible.
Next is the food here is awful. I got a brisket sandwich with some fried onions on it, they gave me about 3-4 small fried onions and the sandwich was crap. I tried the “pizza cupcakes” that I’d hoped would be better, but was just as bad.
This arena has a lot of potential to be great, but until they start enforcing rules and completely redo their menus and expand options to eat, we won’t be back.

The staff here are fantastic. They also give free refills on popcorn and drinks. It's very clean and located right next to the Chinatown / Gallery Place metro stop.

Capital One Arena's ill-publicized, ill-executed "no bag" policy is an absolute scam. Charging venue goers $13 on top of already exorbitant event & concessions prices is a great reason to sign up for NBC Sports & just watch events from the comfort of your own home. Whoever thought forcing visitors to download the "BinBox" app for the privilege of overpaying for unnecessary bag storage should be fired on the spot. The arena's general cleanliness & above-average crowd control don't make up for this dereliction of duty in providing a positive customer experience.

We had a decent experience as far as getting in. We were concerned when we realized the line was so long and we were blocks away from entering and we got to venue almost an hour early. However, once the venue opened the lined moved quickly and staff was prepared to get people safely through security rapidly.

The low review is because the sound quality was so poor. We attended the Jimmie Allen and Carrie Underwood concert. Mind you we were in section 415 but were unable to understand anything they were saying or most of the words to the song. I hoped it was just a flaw when the DJ was trying to entertain before show started. After Jimmie Allen started and we could understand nothing I was ready to leave. However, my daughter had been looking forward to this concert so we stayed.

I seriously wish I had brought air pods as to play the song in them as they sang so that I could at least get somewhat of a concert that sounded right. The acoustics were awful.

People around us made jokes as to it was more like watching Charlie Brown and the teacher say,"waaah...waaah...waaah.." But were also quite disappointed and just left. Very unfortunate that tickets are even sold for these seats when the qualilty is so poor.

And due to the lights and such there was limited visibility to see the screen behind the main stage and from my seat we could not see the small screens on the side of the main screen. Just a huge disappointment all around.

Not impressed with the venue for a concert - at least not in the upper section but maybe it wasn't as bad below. It would be nice if they did not sell tickets to those that do not have good sound quality.
