We had just left the Albert Einstein Memorial and were headed back toward the National Mall to see more museums. We saw a little lake with weeping willow tree, my wife and I love them, and walked over to take some pictures. There was a...More

This little memorial to the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence is located on an island in Constitution Gardens. It has the names, signatures, and some information about each signer. It was such a peaceful place. A family of Canadian geese came over which...More

Sorry that so few people know about these memorable stones, each dedicated to the signature of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The site is not signed which makes it difficult to locate but is not far from the mall. The stones...More

This is a pretty area to sit down while visiting the national mall. I wouldn't call it a must see attraction for a short visit.

Difficult to find. The signatures of people I've never heard off cut into rock. Not very exciting. Probably why we were the only people there. Don't bother while in DC, there's plenty of better options out there.

We were following our map and it kept saying it was surrounded by a garden and water. We stumbled upon it. Actually the area was kind of dirty and almost forgotten. Glad we found it finally
