We recently drove up to Mauthe lake in order to ride the Lake to Lake trail. The trail is 6.8 miles long and goes through both wooded and open prairie areas with very little gradient. While it is mostly very quiet and secluded there are...More

We really enjoyed our stay at Long Lake in Kettle Moraine Northern Unit. It's beautiful and liked our actual camp site in the 800's. Great bathroom facilities. Were they the cleanest, no, but still clean enough with actual plumbing, showers and toilet paper. Very nice...More

I've done several different trail runs in the forest, it is a wonderful place to run. Saw a cougar there one time!

Really great place to winter camp. Lots of solitude, birds, and other wildlife. The Ice Age Trail is an awesome Midwest hiking destination; we loved the rolling hills and technical descents... Highly recommended at any time, but gorgeous in the middle of a wintry snow...More
