Dells of the Eau Claire is in eastern Marathon County, east of Wausau, WI. Wonderful woods welcome you upon entry into the park. A very long row of stone steps appear, beckoning you inward; onward. A descent begins, ever lower, and down to the stone...More

This County Park has great views, rushing water, dells to swim around or just walk around. There is a beach and many miles the the Glacier Trial that go through the park. Spend a day, a few hours or camp. It is about 30 minutes...More

First we stopped for a picnic on the beach side (east). There is a small sandy area, with wood & sand "steps" down to the water. I'm not sure how safe it is to swim above a dam, but wading would work fine. The rest...More

Beautiful sites and great hiking trails. Make sure to wear your tennis shoes or hiking boots and also bring your camera. We hiked 5 miles and didn't even get to see all the wonderful views. I will definitely be returning.

The Dells of the Eau Claire river are really a neat thing to have nearby. I especially like going there when we have the spring run off.

The dells of the Eau Claire are lovely. I wouldn't travel, however, more than an hour or two to visit the Dells. We've visited this area several times. In an hour or so of hiking around you can easily see all the sites. The falls...More

This is one of my favorite parks to go to when I'm in the Wausau area. My last visit was when the water was starting to thaw and there was ice and water rushing all around. There are rocks to climb and to sit on...More
