I bowled there for many years then it recently was renovated with new floors and a face lift as well. This location host some big torments and brings in a lot of money for this tiny town of Alameda.

Good quality bowling lanes and decent refreshments. Easy parking. But the crowd can be a bit unpredictable. A couple of years ago there was a shooting outside the back door. It's not inconceivable that a fight can break out inside.

I attended a bowling party Saturday, January 17, 2015 and I was very un-happy with how the bowling alley is run. I observed two young men playing on scooters in the approach area, stopping others from bowling, someone continued walking on the lanes, very young children were running all over the lanes and staff was never at the desk. I... More

We are from New England, but mid-westerners at heart when it comes to bowling. We are surrounded by candlepin bowling, which, in some opinions, is not real bowling. So when we visited our family in Alameda and discovered this place (within walking distance) we were thrilled! It is a classic bowling "joint", with decent pizza and beer options and lots... More

Whenever the family wants to be completive or wants to indulge in a fun sport....it would be bowling! We make up teams... Oldsters vs youngsters or guys vs gals or Couples vs couples. We would laugh, tease, taunt or yell! Good family FUN!!

Every few years we go with friends or take the office for a fun out of office bonding experience. Pin Star for a day! Just don't throw out that back or shoulder!

I have taken my children here at least 15 times this summer for the free bowling program and the AMF Southshore Lanes has always been clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restrooms need repair but they are functional for the few times we need them. We usually go during the day and have been twice in the... More

On league night, the crowd can be a bit rough. A couple years ago there was a shooting outside the east door. Nightly there are drunks in the parking lot blasting music and yelling. As for the bowling ally part, it's like any other.
