My toddler son and I got sandy, fed seagulls, had our packed lunch and then headed to the Visitor Center at 3pm to see the fish get fed on a cool Saturday afternoon. The beach is clean and safe for a toddler to walk around....More

This is a nice place to relax and look at the views - of San Francisco or a sunset? There are facilities at the park, so it is popular with families. Check the water quality notices before swimming.

The water here isn't that clear, and the beach picks up bay trash, but it is pleasant and conveniently located (not crowded). A nice hike/bike trail parallels the beach. Restrooms are conveniently spaced.

My mom, son (14) and I enjoyed the visitor center. It was small but interesting and informative. We also loved walking along the shore. The view was beautiful. We we're entertained by the ducks and squirrels.

Great for bikers, hikers, walkers, joggers. Nice, quiet, peaceful beach. Plenty of picnic areas as well.

Crown Memorial State Beach is nice for a picnic or bar-b-q. Bar-b-q pits and tables are located on the north shore near the USS Hornet. The beach looks out onto SF Bay between Alameda island and San Francisco. The water is not good for swimming,...More

Seemed ok. But I'm from Florida so this was not my thing. Dead fish. Cold water. Lots of seaweed. I stuck a toe in and moved on.

We started at the Crab Cove Visitor Center parking lot. Unfortunately the visitor center was closed the day we were there. However, there is a nice little walking trail in the tidepools, depending on the tides may be under water. The whole area is protected...More
