This place is so foreign to the area. Just a little past urban San Jose stands a look into the last Bay Area ghost town. The park allows you to walk out on the salt ponds that were once farmed a hundred years back. Way...More

I was in the area for business meetings and found this to be a nice place for a short walk in nature. The good: it was a flat well maintained path that made for an easy walk. There were a large number of birds that...More

Flat but plenty of birds and views. Always breezy but a very good choice for waterside walks, especially at sunset.

They have filled in the marina and let nature reclaim the slough. Wildlife have returned and if your lucky you'll see strippers coming in to chase the chad when they run. Walk way out on the jetty and slat grass will make you disappear.

Peaceful except for odd train or plane. Landscape very apocalyptic, desolate, not much green no trees. Very open, plenty of wildlife (birds), good place to walk or ride. Will definitely be back. Don't bring the kids, unless they are okay with just walking, riding and...More
