Need a break from the crowd, heat, and/or excitement? You can sit on top in the sun, or on one of the lower decks in the shade. Either way, just look at all of those people rushing around the park while you relax and enjoy the scenery.

If you need a break from the "go, go, go" the Riverboat is a good option. Super slow and mellow. My kids said it was lame but I liked it :)

It was a hit and excessively mugggy day as we toured Hannibal, soaking up all the Mark Twain memorabilia we could get. We opted for the 1:30 p.m. cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat. A truly pleasant and enjoyable ride. An hour traversing the Mighty Mississippi. Good stories and facts from the pilot of this craft. Buy a cold beverage, sit on one of the decks and let yourself just enjoy a simpler time and place.

The River boat is a relaxing and enjoyable escape from the crowds on shore. A leisurely cruise through Indian Country was enjoyed by all. Once again. Disney Magic working overtime !.

This is a short round of an island on a small lake. There are various buildings and animals to represent various types of settlements on different rivers. A relaxing ride. Nothing exciting.

Captain Steve was good. He was informative, funny, and very gentle with the boat. We had a good time relaxing on the boat and hearing the stories and information. He was able to point out landmarks easily and we even saw a Bald Eagle. This tour was about an hour long and it’s great for groups, couples, families and more. Worth the stop.

Departing from the border of Frontierland and New Orleans Square in Disneyland, the Mark Twain Riverboat is a full size paddle steamer that gentle cruises around the western side of the park. A gentle fifteen minute experience that's worth doing to recover from all of the thrill rides.

The Mark Twain Streamboat rides along rails through the Rivers of America. It's a real steam boat, though, and the narrators along the way shed some light into the life of Mark Twain. You get on board near Frontierland and travel by New Orleans Square, and Splash Mountain.

Since Disney started working on Star Wars Land, the Rivers have been upgraded. There's now a neat rail road bridge with "beavers" eating on the supporting poles. The Native Americans are treated with respect and the animatronics are amazing.

You wind up going by Pirate's Island (Tom Sawyer's Island) and return to the dock. The whole trip takes about 20 minutes but is well worth it.

This was the first time I have ridden the riverboat with the new alignment around the Rivers of America. I liked the new beaver and Indian scenes. I even saw a live racoon!

Try this and just relax on top deck taking in the scenery for 10 mins of so. Not a lot else to it really. A beautiful steam boat in all its splendour. Admire and take a breath while you see the madness on the other side.
