We came here a few years ago and I did this roller coaster ride back then. The time afterwards it was closed for renovation and we were expecting a great new ride.
I decided I has to try the "new" Incredicoaster, but it was literally the exact same ride with a few flashes of light, some audio and a scene at the end of the ride. Was extremely disappointed that they really didn't do this ride "up", rather than just "renaming" it.

Actually got a chance to ride this twice and wanted to go on more. Feels like an old wooden coaster, but it's not. Has a cool theme and wait line and an awesome loop. Highly recommend!

This is a fabulous upgrade to the California Screamin. Who ever thought that adding a story to this rollercoaster would make it that much more INCREDIBLE. They did an amazing job of incorporating voice overs telling the story that you can hear so clearly; feeling like your part of the story itself. It's great in the day time, but a must see at night. The lights of the characters really pop; making the story more alive! Don't forget to grab that snap shot of your ride at the end. The rollercoaster may be the same configuration as before, but it has become a whole new experience that keeps us coming back for more!

So we are doing reviews for specific rides because the Park itself sucks? Yeah ok. Incredicoaster is great, my 6yr old was a little worried about the loop. After the first ride, he couldn’t wait to go again.

I’m gonna start by saying this will always be California Screamin’ to me no matter what Disney tries to call it. Now that’s out of the way now I’m gonna get into the review. The ride itself is good. It’s a less intense roller coaster (this is coming from a coaster enthusiast) and it’s a good coaster for the whole family. It is one of the more intense rides at Disney California Adventure but it’s not as intense as Disney tries to make it sound. It is also the ride with the only inversion in all of the Disneyland Resort. This is one of those roller coasters that would be good for your first inverting roller coaster because it’s not very intense and it only has one simple inversion: a vertical loop. It is a launched coaster though but the launch isn’t nearly as intense as a launch you would see on Maxx Force or Top Thrill Dragster. So point being the ride may look intense compared to the other rides at DCA but it’s not nearly as intense as it looks. One thing I was really disappointed about was the lack of airtime you get on the ride. There’s a section where there are airtime hills which are supposed to give you uh... AIRTIME. But I never got airtime and I was in the BACK ROW WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO GET AIRTIME. Anyways now on to the new voice overs. Dash is annoying, Mrs. Incredible sounds annoyed, so the new voices of Incredicoaster are not working with me. Maybe it’s just that I miss the spiel being done by the rightful voice of NEIL PATRICK HARRIS. The best part of the spiel from Harris is the part where he says “second thoughts, too late” and now they have Dash just counting down instead. Now I’m gonna talk about the preshow video. The whole preshow spoils the first scene of Incredibles 2. Then it shows the city dedicating their roller coaster to the Incredibles. This is when Violet says “yeah just slap our names on an old ride” because she doesn’t like the idea of having a roller coaster named after them. I totally agree with her. A classic roller coaster should not be renamed after a family of Pixar characters and that’s what Disney did to California Screamin’. The storyline of the ride was not well thought out and kids might take it the wrong way. Later in the preshow video, Jack Jack gets mad because he’s not tall enough to ride. Once you board the coaster, you hear the Edna’s voice saying that Jack Jack got away. So now this ride is saying that you can sneak on a ride that you’re not tall enough to ride. Yeah, nice going Disney. The on board audio was so annoying. It wasn’t like the California Screamin’ audio where the music is synced up with where the coaster was on the track. It was just the Incredibles theme with all the Incredibles family members yelling on top of each other. Here’s what I got to say to Disney: save the dialogue for the dark rides. When you have the Incredibles theme playing with the Incredibles yelling over the riders screaming (and don’t forget the PRE-RECORDED SCREAMS) the ride goes from enjoyable to just downright annoying. I love the ride for the track layout and the fact that it’s a bigger thrill attraction in the Disney Parks, but the original California Screamin’ version was much better than the new Incredicoaster version.

I prefer the original theming of California Screaming over this overlay. It's still the same ride, but it feels less to me. I like the way it was themed before, and the music was better timed than the conversations of the Incredibles. Plus this is a ride that is better at night, and not all day.

I went on Incredicoaster several times during a trip to California Adventure in August. The coaster was having a bad day— several times the ride was stopped and when I was on the ride we were held in the launch area for a few minutes. Besides that, it was a fabulous ride— fun and very well themed. Tip: pay attention to the pre-show videos and recordings, there are some Disney inside jokes in the presentation.

This is, IMO, the best rollercoaster in the Park. My teenage daughters twice made me queue for the Guardians of the Galaxy ride, and we queued twice for this one. This one wins hands down!

Hands down the best ride in Disneyland for 12 years+. Great ride: adrenaline thrill, furious speed, fun loop and it's longer than usual. Of course, the queues are long as well. Will definitely go on it again and again. The harness as well compared with other roller coasters are really snug so you'll feel very, very safe.
