This is a great place for birding at the best times of year. We were there at a relatively poor time of year but it was still a good place to visit. Good views of River Otters.

Lovely location for a walk (short, medium or long) and there are places to sit along the way. There are lots of birds to watch so bring your binoculars and a good bird book.

Lots of intersecting paths throughout the sanctuary. Marsh areas, lakes, coastline - so nice variety of birds. They also have guided walks if desired.

As a local, I often miss the places and things people travel long distances to see. This was my first time out to the Arcata Marsh and I've lived here over 30 years. There's no excuse now-most of the paths are paved and the others...More

This place was perfect for people that want to see nature but aren't experienced hikers or nature enthusiasts. The museum on the property was fun and accessible and the staff was relaxed and welcoming
