The water level is slowly rising. Fishing is usually always good and there's a great network of trails around the campsites and for intermediate riders, on the center peninsula of the lake accessed b IA the Wittenburg Arm. Great views from the top and some fun downhill to make the climb worthwhile!

Really a serene place to camp. Lots of trees lots of spaces through out the park to camp with full hook ups or dry camping. There is also a marina for boating or renting something to go out on the Lake. Tons of wild life to see. The marina has a little café but didn't try it this trip.

We took our three young boys (10-14) to the lake for 3 days of camping and a triathlon and they loved it! Plenty to do for everyone. Of course, the water level is low, but we expected that seeing as how we are multiple years into a drought. However, there is still plenty of water to swim, paddle, and boat... More

We recently rented a trailer and had it delivered & set-up at Lopez Lake Campground for a weekend with the family. This is the perfect location for our family because of all the different activities for every age. There is a water slide park, ZipLine park, fishing, boating, kayacking, lots of hiking/exploring, and a ton of wildlife. We actually started... More

Family Reunion weekend camping trip at the Lake. Lots of things to do - boating, wind surfing, fishing, etc. The weather was beautiful and calm. The kids loved the Mustang Water Slides. Lopez is so beautiful and is definitely a place to take some awesome photos. It's only 10 miles from Arroyo Grande, too, so shopping is close by. We... More

We visited Lopez lake as a possible fishing spot. On arrival, the water level was so low that it was a tremendous hike downhill to the edge of the water for fishing. Since we had senior citizens with us, fishing was out of the question. The facility was clean and well kept. The ranger that greeted us was very pleasant... More

We are Australians travelling USA. We have been here for 4 months and no where have we had to pay extra for the vehicle we tow behind our motorhome. $13 per night. The sites are untidy and very close together. We can not light our fire as it is under the slide out of the trailer next door. Poor park... More
