Downtown Auburn is like a throwback to main streets across America. The downtown is filled with small mom & pop shops and restaurants. The ambiance is like going back in time when Main Streets we’re the gathering place for a town. Also quite a bit...More

Plenty of good restaurants and shops to browse through. Great architecture for picture taking. Good view of the county courthouse. I suggest using the parking lot just a short walk up the hill toward the courthouse, plenty of spaces. Great place to spend an afternoon.

This is always in our "Bucket List" for first time visitors to your home. There are lots of nice shops and eateries to visit. Mostly it's American cuisine, I haven't found a bad restaurant there.

Old Town Auburn was a fun place to find. We discovered it today with the streets closed for and antique festival. We shopped the vendors in the street and also many of the open gift shops.

The summer is always busy in Old Town Auburn with tourists checking out the vintage shops and history of the building themselves, several very old indeed. I enjoy taking out of town guests around this area and having a meal as well as shopping.

We walked here from our hotel and enjoyed shopping, cafes and restaurants. My daughter and I enjoyed the art galleries and candy store. Parking is a challenge.

This is an area in Auburn seemingly left over from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Cute store fronts. Some might consider it romantic. You can browse and even if the store or restaurants are closed it is still enjoyable to look at. One may...More

I freaking love this place. One of the most beautiful old town cities in Northern California. The parking is a little tough to come by, but once you park you'll have hours of fun walking the stores and grabbing a bite to eat. Auburn is...More

Last time I was there (about a year ago) most shops were quiet by 5:00 pm on Saturday. Restaurants are about all that is going after that.
