What a fun course, Beautiful foothills course with lakes and pines. There's a couple of fairly easy holes, that give you a break from the really tough ones. Also has a lot of risk / reward holes. Like the 18th. Par 5 can definitely get there is this downhill, but you need a good first shot and there is a... More

Great golf course with a Sierra Nevadas feel. Somewhat challenging but we love this course. And during our round yesterday we saw deer, wild turkeys, geese, squirrels and many kinds of birds. We try to golf here every time we visit

Had wanted to play since it opened and i finally did (thank you golf moose). My buddy had played here 4 times and spoke of the layout and views. We played the blues and found it challenging. The tips (copper colored) would have amazing. The only bummer were the bunker had stones and pebbles. This sucked as there were pebbles... More

This course is a very good test of your golf abilities. The back tees are a real challenge. Bring your A game. Course fits the Foothills surrounding it.

I really enjoyed the location and design of this course. The greens were well kept and wonderful to play on. Many challenging holes. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Several hydration spots throughout the course, the water was cool in each one. The bathrooms along the course are well kept and clean. The wildlife around this course is unique (at... More

The beautiful pro Dark Horse Golf Course is considered one of the best in California for golfers who enjoy no crowds and unhurried game among greens dotted with Oak and Pines and deer. Sometimes a turkey or two. Quiet and lovely. There is no real restaurant. The "club" is yet to be built, but you get a decent meal in... More

This course is off the beaten path... It's a nice course, kept up. They offer deals online.. This course is not the easiest. There are hills, trees, elevated greens and tee off boxes. This course takes a couple times to figure it out...

I am 73 years old, lack distance but enjoy a challenging course. Dark Horse exceeded my expectations. Great for us old guys but also for long ball hitters like my son.

This was a great golf course but the food and drink prices were high. Did not check out main menu but it looked like there were plenty of people in eating area.
