While touring through Auburn we stopped at this small tasting room to sample their wines. And there were a lot of wines to taste. The gentleman was very informative about the wines and about the area. The grounds are very quaint and very well manicured. Enjoyed the wines but we didn't find any that really were "special". Great place to... More

17 tasting for $9 is unheard of and spectacular because this winery has so much to offer. We had a great experience tasting here. I live near Temecula, Ca, a wanna-be up and coming wine valley that has become so pretentious, outrageously high prices not backed up by the wine. Mt. Vernon is on a lovely property, the server was... More

Not crowds.. Good service and nice weather... Plus, we were able to taste 18 wines... They have a wide variety to taste... There is a small tasting room and an area outside to taste and enjoy a bottle.. Great stop on the wine trail.

If touring on the Placer County Wine Trail, a stop at this winery is a must! Beautiful grounds, charming tasting room, and lots to sample. Bring your cheese, fruit, and crackers and buy a bottle to enjoy in the lovely area outside the tasting room. Like the most: plenty of tastes for the fee (waived if you buy a bottle).... More

It's our first stop of winery tour. We didn't know it had lots of wine tasting on the menu, it had 2 pages, total about 17 different tasting. I think we only drank 7 or 8 out of 17 but didn't have the stomach to try all of them :) the staff were professional and explained the details, you can... More

Mt. Vernon is a mere 45 min from Sacramento on the way to Lake Tahoe. If you like small family owned wineries where you can chat with the wine maker( Ryan on Fridays) this is the place for you! I am a huge fan of their red wines, but they have 2 great whites and an awesome white port. The... More

I Visited this winery because it was the best rated along the wine trail. Gorgeous property and very nice staff. 17 tastings for $6, 2 of the wines were really good, but did not like most of them, if you're in the area wanting to grab a glass and relax highly recommend the zinful or girly man

My wife and I were greeted warmly by the owners and were expertly guided through a variety of wines. Ryan was knowledgable, patient generous with his time and samples. We would definitely go again!

We came here to taste their wines and to possibly host an event. While the grounds are nice, our tasting room experience was not. The wines were uneven. The first pour was so cloudy that it looked like a smoothie. I commented, "Oh, you don't filter your wines?" to which she replied, "Red wines are never filtered". Excuse me, but... More
