Absolutely worth doing!

This wonderful walking/biking trail is awesome. It takes you right down to Avila Beach downtown. We saw the most amazing wildlife on this adorable route. Highly recommend!

You share this trail with walkers, joggers, bikers so be prepared to go slow. This is a very nice trail, lots of greenery. I stick to walking on this trail as it's quite short for cycling. I only gave 3 of out of 5 because it's so short.

The Bob Jones Trail is a relatively flat, easy bike trail, and a fun way to get to Avila Beach. We stayed at a motel in Pismo. My wife went shopping, so I rode my bike to Avila. There was a significant head wind from Pismo to the trail. However, once I was on the trail, I was shielded from... More

Great paved trail starting at a dirt parking lot near 101 and ending in Avila Beach. Easy riding or walking and the scenery is fantastic along the way (I think it is around 3 miles one way). Great for young and old-bikes or walking-no cars to deal with. End up in Avila for lunch!

We always enjoy the Bob Jones Trail. It's an easy path that allows for wheelchairs (my mother-in-law) as well as strollers & bikes. Plant species are identified with discrete boards. And it outlets at Avila Beach. Wonderful.

We hiked several times on the Bob Jones trail but only the last 30 minutes into Avila Beach. It is lovely, flat, and offers views of the hillsides and river. I birded the path one morning and had several species of birds to look at.

I have walked and run here many times. I recently rode a bike here and it was really fun for a short ride. The end of the trail drops you off in beautiful Avila Beach. At the other end, you are very close to the Avila Fruit Barn that has GREAT pies and apple cider. The fresh corn on the... More

Next to golf course and creek. A little hot in the middle of the day because it is a paved road; but it is a great place to take your kids on their bikes or skates.
