My darling climbs the ice during winter in this area and brought me here for the first time! It was a gorgeous sunny filled day in the snow! Not too cold but slightly breezy. Happy New Year! Starting it off right:)

The hike was well worth the view! Absolutely beautiful. My husband & I (both in our 70's), our son & daughter, two of our granddaughters & husbands & a great grandson made the hike.

Really enjoyed hiking a portion of the Wheeler trail. Out and back so go as far as you would like. Quite a bit of water on the trail as it doubles as a creek bed on a few sections but still easy enough to navigate.

Great hike and backcountry access! Beautiful scenery and views, convenient trip from the Mountain Comfort Bed and Breakfast in Alma Colorado. Fishing and Jeep trails as well as wildlife viewing and quiet sanctuary.

Beautiful Lake and great trout fishing - the hike up to Magnolia Mills is easy and we'll worth it. There is a beautiful stream cascading down next to the Mill to Montgomery reservoir.

Nice side trip. We explored the Magnolia Mine and hiked along the Wheeler Trail. Lots of historic sites beyond the reservoir.

Lovely mountain reservoir! We had fun catching and releasing trout. Restroom facilities would be nice though.

This is a beautiful mountain lake. The hike up the waterfall is a "don't miss" hike. You can catch a lot of trout near the dam.

After reading the positive reviews, we added this to our Colorado itinerary and so glad we did. First of all, I can't imagine doing ANY of the rugged mountain roads in Colorado without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. That's what we rented for our trip...More
