Although we did not make it all the way to the springs, this is one of Aspen's most beautiful hiking trails. It takes about one hour to walk to the "Bridge" and about 45 minutes to walk back - this summer it was a little...More

We took the longer route to the springs from the Crested Butte side of the pass about 14 miles from Gothic to the Springs. This side can be difficult in spots with loose rock, steep climbs and a few snow crossings. The views on both...More

Conundrum Hot Springs is definitely at least a two day trip. It is a long hike from the Conundrum trail head through fairly easy terrain following the creek to the springs. If you do this during the winter or spring, be prepared to have snow...More

This is NOT a technically difficult hike, but it is a long way to the springs, so people bring tents, sleeping bags as well as food and drink, and sleep over night there, at the spring. Most hikers enter the spring without clothing, at least...More

The hike to the spring was very scenic (fall colors this time of year). With overnight/weekend packs this is intermediate to difficult, mostly due to the majority of the elevation gain being over the last 1/4-1/3 of the trail. But it is worth it, soaking...More

One of the best trails in Aspen. You start at altitude and have a gently walk that can vary anywhere from 1 to 4 miles. The views are spectacular.

The 8 mile hike is exhausting when you carry your tent & overnight gear, but the landscape is breathtaking and worth every step...and so is soaking in the springs and meeting friendly folk

The hike is beautiful. My friend and I are in good shape, and thought it was difficult, but we also had heavy packs. The camping sites are great, the springs are beautiful. We went on a Wednesday-Thursday in July, and the flowers were AMAZING. Do...More

Hands down best hike I've ever done. Do yourself a favor go on the week days. Weekend it gets crowded. About 8.5 miles it's not too hard and not too easy. Great views the whole way. Hike up camp and enjoy the hot springs everyone...More

Soaking in the hot springs, looking down at the beautiful valley, not bothered about the chilly winds, chatting with friends - what else does one need? Except maybe sipping some whiskey or a beer :P. One of the best hikes I have ever been on...More

If you are an experienced Winter hiker and have a 20 below bag and a good tent, good warm boots and gators to keep the snow out of your boots, a trip to Conundrum is possible. Avalanches are a possibility, especially toward... More
